Survey Manager has been purpose-built for organisations that are surveying many people, in different locations, on a variety of topics and often; in simple terms - organisations who are generating lots of data.

The application uses a web-browser interface and can link to a range of industrial-strength databases. It automates the administration, distribution and collection of many surveys at the same time. In addition, Survey Manager allows you to design and construct your own surveys anyway you want and it contains a suite of feedback reports. Feedback reports can be broadcast across the web.

Survey Manager is a single software system which handles all tasks associated with surveying. You can:

• Create and design questionnaires with as many questions as you require. Choose from a variety of answering tools (radio buttons, check boxes, combos, and free text). There is unlimited use of instructions. Questions and answer types can be copied and repeated.
• Use a range of methods to collect data - Web (internet/intranet), electronic mail, paper (produced and printed directly from Survey Manager)
• Monitor the progress of survey data collection, eg, how many and which respondents have answered the survey at a particular time.
• Create and manage a list of respondents that can be imported directly from other systems such as your payroll.
• Automatically and electronically create and deliver messages to respondents, using each respondent's preferred contact method (internal post, email, etc)
• Produce a wide range of administrative and feedback reports - or export your data to a third party statistical package for detailed analysis.

Survey Manager is a productivity tool which makes surveying significantly more efficient. It virtually eliminates the need for administrative staff to handle paper/mail distribution, survey collection and third-party data entry. You can copy and paste questions from existing or completed surveys or load them from Survey Manager's inbuilt question library.

The system is specially designed to manage 360 degree/ multi-rater surveys and can store user-defined relationships (self, peer, customer, etc). It provides summary reports for the subjects of feedback and bundles all relevant questionnaires for each person for single point delivery.

Complex and longitudinal analysis of survey data is possible by connecting Survey Manager to third party statistical packages such as SPSS and Statistica.

Leading-edge technology

The product is written in Java, allowing you to run the application from small servers up to large multi-processor Unix environments. It supports respondents on Macintoshs and PCs.

A number of SQL-compliant databases can be supported, including Access, MS-SQLServer and Oracle.

Components

Survey Manager consists of three components inter-connected by a unique Internet/Intranet messaging layer:

• Construction module which is used to design surveys and questionnaires.
• Administration module to manage survey logistics - who has what, survey and respondent status and messages; as well as feedback report generation.
• Respondent module which is the interface that delivers a questionnaire to a person. The respondent can answer surveys through a web browser.
